With the Holidays, comes busy, often delayed, crowded, cold, dehydrating holiday travel. Here are 7 things to consider when traveling during this busy time of year, and tools to help you along the way.
- Expect delays. From weather delays and long security lines to canceled flights, expect changes in the itinerary. This means not planning events near your arrival time.
- Pack the carry-on wisely. Cover hunger, thirst, illness, boredom, etc.
Tools: Snacks, Books, Water, Ipod, First Aid Kit *Medications (Inhaler, Acetaminophen, etc.)
- Prepare the kids for what is expected of them and what they can expect of the journey.
Tools: Jet With Kids, "Shae By Air" DVD Toolkit, Airport Books
- Prevent illness by washing hands - even the youngest ones! Boost immune system. Hydration is key to health. Acknowledge early symptoms of illness.
Tools: Emergen-C for Kids, Oscillococcinum, Hand Sanitizer, Wipes
- Provide in flight comfort for the whole family.
Tools: Evian Spritzer, PlaneComfort, PlaneSheets, Noise Canceling Headphones
- Do not leave home without the peace of mind that you will be able to return. If you can only take one thing along - pack MedJetAssist membership. It is your ticket home if hospitalized. Don't assume insurance (health, travelers, or Platinum Card) will transport you past the "Nearest appropriate facility".

- Enjoy the time with your family - if in an airport or on an airplane, this is precious family time and a wonderful opportunity to interact with your children!
*Consult with your physician before administering medication to your child.
Have a blessed Holiday Travel Season!
