I’ve received a fair amount of email this past week and weekend from frantic Holiday travelers asking what should be on the packing list when traveling with young children. Here is the Jet With Kids Travel Packing List for the 2009 Holiday Season. These are products we have found to be worth packing!
1. Transportation, Portable Resting Spot, and Dining Room for Little Ones
Do not make the mistake of thinking a stroller or carrier is just one more (unnecessary) thing to take along! A lightweight stroller or carrier WILL save your trip, your sanity, and your back! Naps and rest are even more important for kids when traveling… and don’t forget a place to eat snacks or read books when bored with the scenery or rest when little legs get too tired.
*A stroller/carrier is a MUST HAVE when traveling with kids!

Infant, Toddler, & Child Carrier (AKA Parent Back Saver!)
*A carrier that grows with your child is a back-saving, trip-enhancing item!
2. Entertainment for Long Lines, Delays (at the Gate, Airport Security, On the Runway) and Time in an Airplane Seat!
Remember to prepare kids ahead of time for this exciting and fascinating mode of transportation we call flying! The key to happy kids are involved parents. Talk to your kids, read to them (even the safety card is entertaining!) Talk about the plane, airport, runway, noises, seats, etc.
There are fantastic resources available to help you prepare…
3. Products to Keep Children Safe On Planes:
Safety is a basic need. This topic can be controversial for some due to budget concerns and defensive travelers. I respect that. I did my homework so I could travel safely with my son. In the process I found some fantastic products that change the way we travel.
See link below to read about valuable products we use to fly safely and conveniently with young children.
4. Food and Drinks for the Airplane, Airport, and Travel
Hydration is ultra important for the entire family when traveling. Low blood sugar can result in crabby, uncooperative, irritable travelers (of all ages!).
See link below to read about our Food/Drink Picks!
5. Medical Tools/Tips for the ENTIRE family!
Ear pain, ear fullness, ear infection, teething, diarrhea, migraines, heartburn, colds or flus… it can happen to anyone anytime. Avoid being trapped at 37,000 feet without the proper tools to care for the family!
6. Medical Evacuation Membership
Who’s bringing you home in case of injury, illness, or… well… God-forbid…. death? Like AAA is for the car, a MedJet medical evacuation membership is peace of mind for the entire family!
7. Luggage Worth Packing
Luggage that glides along next to you like an assistant or entertains a preschool age child through the airport is worth a mention here! Our luggage choices have proven to make all the difference!

We hope our Travel Products Worth Packing List provides peace of mind for your upcoming holiday travel.
