At the ABC Kids show in Las Vegas, I found jewelry that not only is a fashion accessory, but helps a teething baby feel better!
Three beautiful, smart, and incredibly talented women entrepreneurs noticed that babies love to gnaw on jewelry. A dentist and mother, Dr. Helen Bloom Smith along with her sister, Dr. Joy Bloom Wright and Mary Wheeler Settlemier recognized the opportunity to provide babies with a safe alternative to toxic jewelry. They formed the company Dr. Bloom, Inc. to launch their product Chewable Jewels.

I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the incredible women behind this teething product at the ABC Kids Show in Las Vegas this past week. Not only is it a family run company but they are all moms and passionate about providing infants and children with safe products.
I am not a jewelry person – in fact, I don’t ever wear much past earrings and my ring. However, I haven’t removed the bracelet for the past few days! And this was one of the very few times that I wasn’t around children! Why? Because I wear it to remind myself to “keep it real”.
