First Aid Kit: Medibuddy

by Anya Clowers, RN

What’s in your first aid kit? Sting free antiseptic wipes? Sting relief pad? How about some stickers to really make things feel better? Plain bandaids or fun crayon shaped ones?

When treating young children and their scrapes and cuts, it’s important to deal with the emotional “trauma” of the injury. As many parents know, this includes distraction – and lots of smiles and hugs.

Medibuddy is a small first aid kit – perfect for the stroller, purse, car, or plane. 40 Kid-friendly items are included – triple antibiotic ointment, gauze pads, knee, elbow and “crayon” bandages, insect bite “sting relief”, lots of smiley stickers, and burn gel.

I was surprised at how many items are in this small case. The cases are available in primary colors of red, blue, yellow, and green. The small kits contain an offer for a free 45 item refill kit!

These hypoallergenic, latex-free products are made in the USA and assembled by caring, capable disabled individuals. 10% of the products go back to the disabled communities.

Medibuddy is made by me4kidz, a family-owned and operated company. Richelle was inspired when her son Cody was stung by a bee. The idea for me4kidz (medical emergencies 4 kids) was born!

Medibuddy is a great basic first aid kit for travel. Small enough to fit in the carry-on, it will take care of those owies and put a smile back on the little traveler’s face.

Congratulations, Richelle! jwkapproved_medium5.jpg
