Can you relate to this scene? Not bad when you are at home and can plan for messy eating. However, take this little one on a trip and feeding on the go can create quite a mess.
I love the brains behind this product. How many beautiful clothes have been ruined by carrot stains or blueberries? Samantha Asay realized there were many infant clothes that were quickly ruined due to stains. She also noticed there was a need for organic clothing that wasn’t bland in color. The result? Pukies! You will easily see which baby food influenced the color selection – green peas, orange carrots, blueberries, – these clothes not only hide the stains with the color similarity, they have fun designs on them that allow stains to fit right in!
I was honored to meet Samantha and Mark at the ABC show in Las Vegas – the inventors and designers of this fabulous line of clothing. They were upbeat and fun, and obviously had an enthusiastic passion for their product.
I especially appreciate the fabric:
1. The fabric is really soft and due to a small amount of spandex- stretchy fun. The stretch and versatility of the fabric was appreciated as I dressed my squirming nephew in the onesie. I had forgotten how messy infants can be when eating – and those marks across his face where due to his distraction with my 4 year old in the same room while I was attempting to feed him carrots. Take this baby to an airplane or restaurant, well – thank goodness there is Pukies!
2. Organic is great right? Free of toxic chemicals! What’s even better is the quality of this clothing assures you that it will easily be passed on to the next child. Also eco-friendly in that it’s not going to the landfill so quickly.
3. The knit fabric is made of 56% organic cotton, 37% soy and 7% spandex (providing that bit of stretch)
4. The soy fiber is naturally anti-microbial and is made from a renewable and biodegradable resource- good job!
I am loving this Pukies line -and am wondering when the adult version will be available!
