Since she had her first baby seven years ago, Linda (aka minnemom) has been
taking him places. When, in the span of the next five years, she added
three more to her brood, she remained on the go. A few years ago, she
realized that her young kids had been to a pretty decent collection of
museums, historic sites, and other fun places, and she decided to start
writing about their adventures for a few reasons:
1) To let parents know which places were kid-friendly, because the
guidebooks and reviews don’t always tell you if there’s a railing the kids
can crawl under (yes, it’s happened) or if there are changing tables in the
men’s rooms (making it Dad’s turn to change the diaper).
2) To remind other parents that having kids isn’t a sentence to staying home. Kids love to get out and see new things, and parents shouldn’t be afraid to take their kids to interesting places.
3) To prove that you don’t have to travel far and wide to find interesting things to do. The majority of her trips are within a few hours of her Minnesota home.

Now Linda’s blog, Travels with Children (http://minnemom.com) has grown
enough that her outings with the kids use the more official term “research,”
but are fun nonetheless. Her kids love their family adventures and Linda
enjoys sharing them with her readers.
Congratulations Linda!
