The first stop of our 8 month trip around the world was Washington D.C. I was honored and delighted to have the opportunity to meet with National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Deb Hersman.
Chairman Hersman is a passionate, kind, and practical advocate handling a tough job well. She is a woman I greatly admire and respect. Just a month before our visit, Chairman Hersman was nominated by President Obama to be re-appointed for an additional two year term. This is fantastic news, as she is an asset to the NTSB and travelers of all ages!
I previously had the pleasure in communicating with her regarding the safety issue of lap-held children on airplanes.
