Many people pack for trips focused on the destination rather than the journey. However, consider this- the first and last 24 hours of most trips involve travel with limited access to resources (food, water, medicine, first aid, etc.). Include the possibility of flight delays, canceled flights, and long lines for airport security and you can begin to understand why the self-sufficient carry-on can make all the difference!
The ultra important carry-on bag must provide for the entire family. Hunger, thirst, medical, sleep, or entertainment (to prevent meltdowns) must be considered as these needs can make or break the journey.
Pack the carry-on bag wisely.
