I have previously written about my fantastic experience with the ERGObaby carrier on our travels. What’s so different about this carrier than the many, many other slings, baby packs, and carriers out there? The ERGObaby carrier grows with my child and saves my back in the process!
I carried my 30 lb. (2 1/2 year old) son around London without strain on my back, neck, or arms. 30 lbs. and tall!

Yes, he was old enough to walk, but…
as can be typical for toddlers and preschoolers…
he had also decided he didn’t want to walk or was too tired to walk or would rather walk in the opposite direction than we were going.
Sound familiar? Kids will be kids -and sightseeing or making the train or plane are not high priority on their agenda.
We LOVED the convenience and assistance the ERGObaby Carrier provided us. No strain on us, and comfort and convenience for my son. Traveling with the ERGObaby carrier was like having an extra pair of loving arms to cradle my son- arms that didn’t get tired even when we were!
This photo was taken on a cold, early morning departure at the train station. I placed my son in the carrier and then wrapped my jacket closed around him. He was quiet and calm as he looked around at the busy city going by.
My toddler took comfortable naps, enjoyed a comfortable ride, ate snacks, and had a great view of London from the ERGObaby. A happy toddler means happy parents…
The ERGObaby carrier greatly increased quality of travel for the whole family!
A great feature of the carrier is the hood that secures easily to support sleeping heads and prevent them from rolling around! Think about this one… not only is that important for comfort – how many times are little ones jolted awake by their head falling in sleep? Not only are they woken up – they are usually (understandably) crabby!
Prevent neck strain, unnecessary nap interruption, AND crabby toddlers by securing the ERGObaby hood for a comfortable sleep position.
I have given the ERGObaby carrier as a gift to friends and family since our trip to London 4 years ago. In fact, my sisters agreed to pose for this photo of my two little nephews hanging out in their carriers!

I didn’t discover the greatness of ERGObaby until my son was 30lbs. At my seminars, moms have asked if it’s worth it to purchase the carrier for kids who already weigh 30lbs. My answer? This is exactly the time when my ERGObaby carrier proved greatest worth!
ERGObaby carriers are quality made and will last for years. Team up with a new or pregnant mom and split the cost if budget is a factor. Use the carrier for the toddler/preschool years and pass it along when the child reaches 40lbs.
We are a bit sad that our ERGObaby no longer can accommodate my 60lb. 6 year old son… but we like to try it out for fun! (We do not recommend using the carrier for children weighing more than 40lbs. This photo was taken simply for fun…)
At Jet With Kids, the ERGObaby carrier is our preferred carrier for travel. We have also used other carriers and although they offer some great features for infants, we found our growing children to quickly put a strain on our backs- even with the added lumbar support.
The ergonomically correct design of the ERGObaby does make a difference, not only for us, but for the little ones who can sit comfortably and not be suspended by their crotch for long periods of time. (Note the 90 degree angle of the “seated” child)
This product is approved as a Product Worth Packing and carrier of choice for travel with infants and children up to 40lbs.!
The ERGObaby carrier will last when your back won’t- and your little travelers will appreciate the comfortable ride.
