Update in Passport Rules

March 2nd, 2007 · No Comments

The passport rules are changing. Now to make it more confusing,
the Department of Homeland Security is proposing that children
under 15 only need a certified birth certificate for crossing
the border at land and sea ports (instead of a passport).

However, just to keep it clear for Jet With Kids readers…
this change is only for crossing land and sea borders and does
not apply to flying.

Everyone (regardless of age) is still required to have a
passport for flying internationally
.

THIS PROPOSAL DOES NOT AFFECT AIR TRAVEL.

Baby still needs a passport!
