Jet With Kids is an easy to read and highly informative guide to traveling by air with children. Ms Clowers is an RN who has logged hundreds of thousands of miles on airplanes around the world, has moved through airports large and small, and has asked all the right questions wherever she has gone. Now the mother of a young child, Ms Clowers has reviewed every aspect of flying with children and consolidated her best advice in this book. She demystifies the numerous rules and regulations surrounding travel in our post 9/11 era; provides practical advice for navigating the terrain of airports and airplanes that essentially are not child friendly territory; covers topics as far afield as how to breast feed on a plane and what documentation you need to take a grandchild with you to a foreign country (a section I have just benefited from).
The book reflects Anya’s love of and comfort with flying and her desire to help others share this. She brings her wisdom as well as lots of great, practical tips on how to make family travel a safe, healthy and comfortable adventure for parents and kids alike. Every family that flies should own this book.

This is an amazingly comprehensive resource for anyone taking children on commercial air travel. Most impressive is the vast number of references and internet links supplied throughout the chapters, dealing with every conceivable aspect of flying with a child. The subjects dealt with are all of the things we face TODAY in air travel, including carry-on restrictions, security issues, and safety measures focused specifically on children. Having flown extensively with my own three kids when they were small, I can only wish Ms Clowers' book was around fifteen years ago!

Jet With Kids is a great read, regardless of your children's age. As a father with boys 14,11, and 8 who are headed to Orlando via airplane for Fall Break, I found this book to be a huge asset. The web links throughout the book are also extremely helpful and a huge timesaver. Great Job!!

When I fly I seem to be a screaming kid magnet. It never fails, if there is a screaming kid on the plane he will be sitting right behind me. I can't tell you how many times I have recommended Jet With Kids to the parents of these little… bundles of joy.
They look at me for a moment like they want to get angry, then they ask me again where they can find the book.
I should just order a
box of books and carry them with me on planes. I'm sure I could charge double the price. If nothing else it would certainly make my travel life a lot better.

I cannot think of a thing that you left out. The section about what to pack for the plane was extremely helpful as that is an area that I tend to overdue.
Overall, in my opinion, this is the "go to" book for parents, grandparents, friends, etc. who find themselves flying with little ones. There is a wealth of information regarding the ins and outs of an airport, making your way through security with your sanity still in check to the dreaded lost luggage.
Web sites to all of the great products listed in the book were a real time saver for over committed Mom's, like myself. The best piece of advice that I have learned is that our children pick up on our attitudes and stress levels, so keep your cool and enjoy yourselves!
You have a winner here, Anya. It really is a wonderful resource for anyone that travels.

Jet With Kids is not just a list of what to pack. Nor is it a 'best of' of parent advice. It is rather, a combination of personal experience, aggregated data, professional input, practical advice, and frank honesty.
It is written one parent to another, and difficult to put down once it's picked up! Such a resource was unavailable for parents when I was traveling with my then-toddler, and as a result I developed my own product around this very subject.

I've vacationed with my kids from Maine to California and I thought I knew how to travel with kids.
