| Because of decreased circulation while flying, DVTs (Deep Vein Thrombosis) can be an issue for
passengers. Compression socks aid in reducing chances of developing DVTs. To read more about how to
prevent DVTs, see page 141 of Jet With Kids.
I really noticed a difference in how good my legs felt
while wearing compression socks when flying. I tend to remove my shoes on long flights and put a warmer pair of socks on as well. It is great not to have swollen legs at the end of the flight. After the
first time I tried the compression socks, I sent some to my mom to wear whenever she flies.
These socks are a great gift for parents and grandparents! Consider it for pregnant travelers as
well, who are at a higher risk for DVTs! |
